Internal Club Races

Thursday 16th April – A 4 mile hilly race up and around Broad Oak and back down!

Thursday 28th May – 1 mile up and 1 mile down!

Starts and finishes in Okeford Fitzpaine with a handicapped one mile hill climb up to Okeford Beacon, with a return decent back to the start point.

Thursday 25th June - Approx 11k Handicap road race from Hinton St Mary.

All runners are set off according to their recent pace/timings so that the slowest members set off first. 

The aim is, if everyone runs according to their pace, that everyone crosses the finish line together. In reality though, this rarely happens although one year, 10 runners crossed the finish line within 2 seconds!

Thursday 23rd July

This race is a really fun race for all members. It consists of running, then cycling and then running again.

Don’t be put off if you haven’t got a bike, you can always team up with someone who has. Also don’t worry if you don’t have the latest carbon fibre racer, people turn up on all sorts of bikes; even their mums shopping bike! There is a shorter route for less race compliant bikes.

A great way to race The Stickler in warmer weather. Our classic renowned 3 peaks hill race from Shillingstone.

Thursday 3rd December

This is our 5-mile road race around the streets of Sturminster, Newton and Broad Oak. 

It’s the final race in our Club Championship, so may well determine with whom the ‘Bunnies’ will reside next year!
