The Marshals :Our Marshals are a friendly bunch of volunteers, who will point you in the right direction and always with a smile. We need roughly 50 marshals to man the course and our Chief Marshal, Craig White has been very busy finding volunteers to help out. The Blackmore Vale Lions, our the main source, but we also have to call on the help of Doddlers, friends and family. Please give them a smile back as you pass

Water Stations :We have 6 water and 3 sponge stations, (and maybe a hose or 2?).We want you to enjoy the race and not get dehydrated. You don't need to take a drink at every station but you do know that if you miss one there will be another just around the corner! Our chief Water Station Marshal is John Cowley, who's family has been in the plumbing business for over 100 years - so they know a bit about water! Plus, if you have run the race in the past few years you would have noticed an element of fun at the stations? I never know what they are going to do until the day – I hope you will enjoy what they do this year. |

Local Residents and Spectators :It is great to have people out there cheering on the runners and we really appreciate the support of the residents of Sturminster Newton and the surrounding villages. We also appreciate them putting up with our signs and for also picking up any cups and sponges that the runners throw into their gardens. Well done to our residents! |
